We currently have an exciting opportunity for Social Work Advanced Practitioner on a 37 hour contract to join the South East Locality Team in Northumberland, based in Blyth.
The practice model used in Northumberland is Signs of Safety; we value and build on the strengths of family networks. You will be supported in developing and using this approach. You will receive regular high-quality reflective supervision and management oversight. There is excellent peer support, and you will have access to regular group supervision.
We are seeking skilled and experienced individuals for a busy social work team, providing support for children and families. You will be carrying out assessments, supporting families in accessing services, completing direct work with parents and children, and supporting families through Child In Need, Child Protection, and through Cared for arrangements.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, engaging, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be effective in working with professionals from other agencies. Effective time management is essential to manage a caseload, with the ability to be flexible and respond to crisis and competing demands being integral to the role.
