Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Medical HR Assistant to join the team based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, providing support to the Trust on a wide range of medical HR issues. This post will offer an excellent opportunity to gain experience in this specialised and developing area of work. The role will support the Assistant Team predominantly, undertaking a wide range of HR Assistant duties. Good communication skills along with a diplomatic and tactful approach are essential as the post involves liaison with medical staff at all levels in addition to outside agencies. Main duties of the job The Medical HR department provides a professional, comprehensive and timely Medical HR/Job Planning service to Directorates within the Trust. To ensure directorates recruit and retain staffing levels to enable the Trust to provide the appropriate level of health care to the community consistent with the overall Trust strategy, and to meet its objectives through the application of current best practice in a wide range of issues. This role supports the Advisor team in a wide range of duties as well as supporting the Medical HR Assistant Team workload. Candidates must have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above including English & Maths or proven recent relevant experience to equivalent level in either Human Resources or Medical Human Resources gained in a busy office. You must possess basic IT skills including working knowledge of databases and Microsoft office package and be able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm.
