Neighbourhood Services Team Roles
The Neighbourhood Services team is responsible for keeping Crawley's residential and communal areas safe, clean, and well maintained. Our work involves litter picking, bin emptying, weeding, pruning shrub beds, hedge cutting, removing fly tips, strimming, and grass cutting.
If you would like to be part of the team that keeps Crawley clean and tidy, please complete an application form for one or more of the following positions, indicating which post(s) you are interested in:
1. Full-time Permanent Contract (37 hours/week) - South Patch (NHS031)
Assisting the South Patch team with grounds maintenance tasks in Furnace Green, Tilgate, Southgate, and Broadfield. Experience is an advantage but not essential. Working hours are Monday and Tuesday 7am to 3pm, Wednesday 7am to 2.30pm, and Saturday and Sunday 7am to 3pm.
2. Part-time Permanent Contract (14.5 hours/week) - Central and East Patch (NHS011)
Assisting the Central and East team with grounds maintenance tasks in Pound Hill, Maidenbower, Three Bridges, Northgate, and West Green. Experience is an advantage but not essential. Working hours are Thursday 7am to 3pm and Friday 7am to 2.30pm.
Additional Information
The post holder must hold a current full UK driving licence (category B) and wear a uniform. The ability to drive transit-sized vehicles and perform physical tasks is required.
A 14% pay enhancement is applicable for hours worked during weekends, in line with the local pay agreement. Extra hours may be required during the week and on Bank Holidays, which will be paid according to the Local Pay Agreement.
