About the Role
As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the set-up and planning of new projects across the mill further to Capex approval, managing delivery through to completion, working with external stakeholders and other teams within the business to bring-in projects on time and to budget.
What You Will Do
Working as part of the site-wide project engineering team, you will lead project management calls, provide solutions to mitigate risks and take charge of quality control. You will interact regularly with the project stakeholders to interpret their needs and to update them on project progress, developing and maintaining strong working relationships. You will work in partnership with production departments, as well as with suppliers and contractors.
Who You Are
It is key that you have proven experience in managing projects up to £1 million from enquiry, through design, implementation and completion in a production process environment and in line with Construction and Design Management regulations. Ideally with a mechanical engineering background, you will be familiar with SIL, HAZID, HAZOP and PTW systems, as well as have the capability to compile project Scope of Work specifications, RAMS, ITP’s and Risk Registers. Good contractor management is also key. Other important attributes and skills are:
* A sound knowledge of MS Office Suite applications and ideally also with MS Project, SAP and AutoCAD.
* Awareness of Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing good practices.
* Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work within collaborative client relationships and ability to explain design plans clearly to the operational team.
* Highly organised, with excellent time management skills.
* Team player, with the ability to work autonomously.
* Goal orientated and solutions focused - quickly proposing the right business solutions to problems, and influencing stakeholders effectively.
* Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
