The post holder will be a senior clinician within a recovery focused pathway, sitting within the vocational part of the Mental Health and Intervention Service (MAIS) which meets the needs of service users that fall within Livewell Southwest catchment area. The service is a therapeutic bio/psycho/social service that aims to help individuals using a whole life, whole systems approach and will provide client centered, recovery focused, therapeutic interventions for adults with complex mental health issues. Main duties of the job Job Role: To provide clinical leadership within the team of registered and unregistered staff. To work with clients with complex needs, using evidence based / client-centered principles, in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. To carry out assessments of clients referred to MAIS, as required. (2 per week). To be responsible for implementing occupational therapy and other psychologically informed interventions; both individual and in groups and treatments in accordance with identified needs. To lead on a range of psychoeducational groups within the service. To provide professional/line management and supervision to designated junior and unregistered support/administration staff. To apply a high level of understanding of the effects of mental and physical illness and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the patients social and physical environment.
