Your new role
As a Membership Fundraiser, you will engage with the public at various venues across Northern Ireland to secure regular-giving donors. Your efforts will directly support the charity's conservation projects, helping to ensure their financial sustainability and making a lasting impact on wildlife restoration and protection initiatives.
As a Membership Fundraiser, you will:
1. Engage with the Public: Approach and inspire people at various venues across Northern Ireland to support our charity through regular donations.
2. Meet Fundraising Targets: Achieve individual and team goals for signing up new members, directly supporting our conservation projects.
3. Promote Gift Aid: Encourage new members to join the Gift Aid scheme.
4. Share Knowledge: Use your understanding of our work to persuade potential donors.
5. Manage Data: Accurately record and submit new members' information.
6. Follow Best Practices: Ensure all activities comply with fundraising regulations.
7. Build Relationships: Maintain positive connections with venue managers and staff.
8. Provide Feedback: Report on the effectiveness of locations and events.
9. Plan Events: Assist in researching and booking venues for fundraising.
10. Deliver Talks: Develop and present nature-themed talks to groups.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in wildlife conservation while developing your skills in public engagement and fundraising.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Experience: At least one year in a face-to-face sales, promotions, or fundraising role.
2. Skills: Strong communication, ability to meet targets, confidence in approaching the public, and basic IT skills.
3. Qualifications: Minimum Grade C in English Language and Mathematics.
4. Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and some evenings, and ability to transport equipment.
5. Transport: Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
What you'll get in return

2. Salary: £24,023 plus commission.
