Role Description:
As a Project Manager for Platform Delivery, you will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless collaboration between customer success, customer delivery, software engineering, data engineering, and product design teams to ensure successful delivery of our platform to customers. This critical role requires a strategic, cross-functional approach to project management, balancing the needs and timelines of multiple teams while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and product quality.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with team leads across departments to coordinate efforts, manage resources, and drive the successful implementation and adoption of our platform. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of platform delivery are aligned, from initial customer engagement through to post-implementation support, upgrades and customizations.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our platform to customers.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that align the efforts of customer success, delivery, engineering, and design teams throughout the product delivery lifecycle.
3. Lead customer onboarding in an outward-facing role, ensuring smooth transitions and positive customer experiences throughout the implementation process.
4. Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration, ensuring all teams are working cohesively towards shared goals and deadlines.
5. Identify and mitigate potential risks and bottlenecks in the product delivery process, proactively developing solutions to keep projects on track.
6. Coordinate with customer success and delivery teams to understand customer needs and ensure they are effectively communicated to engineering and design teams.
7. Work closely with software and data engineering teams to manage technical aspects of product implementation, including customizations, and data integrations.
8. Collaborate with the product design team to ensure user experience and interface requirements are met throughout the delivery process.
9. Establish and monitor KPIs for product delivery efficiency and effectiveness, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
10. Lead regular status meetings with all involved teams, providing updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and resource needs.
Requirements:
1. Based in Bristol, UK.
2. 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in SaaS.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects for external customers, involving multiple stakeholders.
4. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, data engineering processes, and product design principles.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage customer expectations.
7. Flexibility to work US hours when required, accommodating cross-time zone collaboration and customer needs.
8. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
9. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operational details.
11. Experience with CRM systems and customer success processes is a plus.
