Job Position Profile
The entry level manufacturing engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to the manufacturing operation on a daily basis. This position will also support the development of new processes, improving existing processes and implementing process changes.
Duties Include
* Support the creation of process documentation and operating instructions.
* Design manufacturing fixtures and tooling, create finished drawings.
* Work closely with engineering quality and operations associates to identify and implement process improvements.
* Perform time studies as needed to update standard travelers and identify areas for improvement.
* Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve manufacturability and reduce scrap.
* Assist the quality department with non-conformance investigation including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
* Provide support to MRB documentation development as needed.
Requirements
* Associate degree in an engineering field or High school diploma and 3 years minimum experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and documentation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team atmosphere.
* Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to read and understand blueprint requirements.
