What it's like to work here You'll be leading on across the Cheshire gardens at Hare Hill and Little Moreton Hall, managing a team of Gardeners in addition to seasonal gardeners and volunteers across both sites. We have some exciting new projects over the next few years to take the garden to the next level so it is a great time to join the team. The friendly and committed team will provide you with a welcoming and supportive work environment. The work here is endlessly fulfilling, and with so much seasonal change there will always be something new to discover. There’s plenty of scope for further training, in house and external, to continue to build relevant practical and people skills. But another crucial element will be motivating the team. As Senior Gardener, we’d like you to lead by example, lead from the front. You’ll demonstrate exceptional gardening skills, which others can follow and learn from. You’ll understand how to help the team manage their daily workload, and you’ll give inspiring and practical training to new staff and volunteers.
