Our client is a is one of the South-Easts fastest growing roofing contractors, who due to ongoing success are seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to work within their refurbishment team. This role would involve Estimating for roofing refurbishment projects with values of £100k upwards to £3 million. They are based in West London but work across the London and South-East areas so you would be expected to conduct site visits whilst working from the office or home.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in roofing refurbishments ideally flat roofs using liquid applied cold and hot applied systems. In addition to strong technical skills in using estimating software and Microsoft excel.
Roofing Estimator Position Remuneration
1. Competitive salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (DOE - Guide only)

Roofing Estimator Position Overview
7. Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work. Analyse and interpret data, such as measurements, blueprints, and specifications, to accurately determine project scope and resource requirements.
8. Provide technical expertise and recommendations regarding systems, materials, and construction methods.
9. Collaborate with our purchasing team to obtain accurate pricing and availability information for materials and equipment.
10. Regularly liaise with project managers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information for estimating purposes
11. Price the work accurately by evaluating the cost of labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.
12. Produce accurate and detailed quotations to our clients
13. Manage documentation of tenders and quotations on our internal database
14. Build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
15. Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients as and when required
Roofing Estimator Position Requirements
16. 5 years Roofing Estimator experience in refurbishments works (must have)
17. Demonstrable experience of pricing projects from £100k - £3million in value
18. Previous experience of estimating in flat roofing and ideally will have experience in liquid applied cold and hot melt systems
19. Fully competent with carrying out measurements, takes-off and first principal calculations.
20. The ability to build and develop relationships with clients
21. Proficient use of IT including Microsoft Office and estimating packages / tools.
22. Full UK driving license and own vehicle
