A primary school in the BL6 area is currently looking to recruit a dedicated individual for the role of General Support Teaching Assistant to provide creative and engaging educational experiences to children across Key Stage 2. There is some SEN support involved but this is not on a 1:1 basis. The school works hard to nurture both the personal and academic development of their pupils and they are looking for an educator who will support their children to achieve their goals in this way. This role would be starting on Tuesday 22nd April 2025, term-time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 education-based qualification) are desired but not essential.
As a KS2 TA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience of pupils across years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Working with pupils in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis during the teaching of core and foundation subjects, i.e. maths and English.
* Providing consistent support to the class teacher throughout the school day.
* Monitoring the pupils’ progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
* Upholding the school’s ethos and core values and implementing relevant policies regarding behaviour and safeguarding.
* Helping to create a positive and stimulating working environment.
* Collaborating effectively with both colleagues and parents.
