Job Location: Derby
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time/Contract considered
Key Responsibilities:

* Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
* Communicate with clients advising of liabilities and general queries as and when required.
* Possibility of VAT management including review of work of other members of staff’s work.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Education: Ideally a minimum of AAT qualifications, but will consider qualified by experience if in the role for a long period of time.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a practice setting.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficient in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero ETC.).
* Strong Excel skills.
* Experience of Taxcalc would be beneficial
* Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to handle complex and detailed financial data accurately.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
* Problem-solving: Ability to analyse and resolve financial discrepancies and issues
