We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated caretaker to work in our happy school. Currently, the school has 236 pupils on roll, we are a one form entry with 32 pupils in the nursery class who attend on a part time basis .
The Governors at Christ The King Primary School require a motivated, organised caretaker with excellent communication skills to fully undertake and manage all premises issues to ensure our school site is maintained to a high standard at all times. The successful candidate will have excellent up to date knowledge of health and safety procedures and will take responsibility for the maintenance of the school, building and grounds as well as day-to-day upkeep and repairs. They will ensure that the school complies with all aspects of health and safety policy and procedures, so that pupils are able to learn in a safe, secure and high quality learning environment.
Duties will include: • The security of the school site • Being the primary keyholder for the school site • Responding to emergencies and call outs • Ensuring that the school complies with Health and Safety regulations • Ensuring that routine maintenance is undertaken • Supervision of the school cleaning team • Undertaking routine repair and maintenance tasks, including working at heights • A full list of duties can be found in the Job Description attached.
