If you want to work for an organisation that supports its staff while providing an excellent service, then this could be the job for you.Your new roleThe main purpose of the role will be to oversee the day-to-day finance function, supporting the MD in devising and implementing financial strategy, ensuring the business complies with all regulatory accounting standards and developing internal processes and controls. Specifically, you will be tasked with:
* Management of all aspects of financial reporting & controls.
* Working with senior managers, to continue with ERP/MRP implementation & improvement.
* Coordinating the preparation of budget, financial forecasting, and cashflow management.
* Preparing and publishing all monthly/periodic financial reports & explain variances.
* Improve/ develop a monthly financial report with business KPI's
* Oversee VAT & Customs requirements.
* Improvement of business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
* Financial management of a major building project.
* Produce supporting financial & technical reports for R&D Tax credits.
* Set up & oversee financial reporting for a new European subsidiary.
* Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where required.
* Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, between Monday and Friday. An exact working pattern can be flexible to suit the right candidate. Hybrid working is available up to 2 days per week.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a fully qualified accountant and ideally have experience in a similar manufacturing or production business. You will have experience of working in an international group business and have exposure to consolidated group reporting. You will have an excellent understanding of project costing and revenue recognition, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
