Cogent Staffing are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our reputable manufacturing client based in Bradford. The main purpose of the role will be to oversee their warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain management, as well as experience with warehouse management systems.
THE ROLE:
1. Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.
2. Implement and maintain efficient business processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
3. Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
4. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimise supply chain efficiency.
5. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance accuracy.
6. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and streamline operations.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
8. Monitor profit loss statements related to warehouse operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
9. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required, ensuring proper training for all staff members.
THE CANDIDATE
1. Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role within a supply chain environment.
2. Strong knowledge of 3PL operations and logistics processes.
3. Familiarity with business processes related to warehousing and inventory control.
4. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing workflows.
5. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
6. Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
7. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory if willing to undergo training.
8. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS
1. Upto 37k per annum
2. 1 year permanent contract with a review before month 12
3. Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00 (must be flexible with start and finish time)
