You will be working for a world's leading supplier, the company has high-speed machines that can be found in factories around the world performing the value-added functions and manufacturing process. In addition to supplying individual machines, the company designs, installs, and supports complete end lines for food industry packaging.
JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job):
You will be responsible for providing advice, support, and guidance on the key aspects of the employee life cycle and working with managers across the business to enhance employee relations, promoting a positive workplace culture.
Main RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. First line HR support across the business providing accurate and comprehensive HR advice, escalating matters where necessary.
2. Act as mediator to resolve disputes between employees when required.
3. Manage and update all HR Documentation and databases for current employees and retain files of leavers for the required period of time.
4. Coordinate all recruitment activities including creating job advertisements, sourcing talented candidates, arranging and conducting interviews, and employee onboarding activities including carrying out right to work checks and delivery of HR inductions.
5. Provide advice and support on the disciplinary and grievance process with the assistance of the HR Director and ensure managers adhere to the defined timelines.
6. Support the business with absence processes and procedures.
7. Support the business with holiday management processes and procedures.
8. Conduct exit interviews, review information, and make recommendations for employee retention.
9. Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
10. Prepare HR-related reports and documentation, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
11. Collaborate with managers and the HR Director to develop strategies and policies and implement them positively across the company.
12. Manage the HR software system incorporating new starters, leavers, holiday accruals, and document uploads.
13. Create monthly newsletters containing up-to-date business content and distribute across the company.
14. Provide administrative support for HR and business initiatives and projects led by the Management Team.
15. Provide monthly statistics and information for the board report.
16. Provide reception/admin support including visitor inductions, EHR administration, procurement for office equipment/stationery, meeting room bookings, and requirements.
Minimal requirements for education, knowledge, and experience:
1. Passionate about HR and people.
2. An open, confident, and impartial person who can work well with colleagues at all levels.
3. Previous HR experience in providing advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations issues is essential.
4. Strong understanding of employment law with a generalist background.
5. Ability to work accurately, with excellent attention to detail.
6. Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified.
7. Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
