Our client is currently recruiting for a Revenue Accountant. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a 12 month contract and offers hybrid working.
ROLE
Deliver accurate and timely production, revenue and inventory information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide high quality management information
2. Deliver high quality and timely financial and management reporting
3. Encourage the development of reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
4. Support business strategy and deliver objectives, performance and growth
5. Support external audit process
6. Work closely with other functions to ensure effective relationships and business delivery
7. Direct Revenue & Production Support
8. Ensure complete and accurate accounting and reporting to company's hydrocarbon revenue, stocks and over/underlift across all operated and non-operated assets
9. Ensure all invoices prepared and issued correctly and timely to ensure timely recovery of cash
10. Confirm self-bill invoices consistent with expectations and recorded in Finance System
11. Ensure account reconciliations and variance analysis provide appropriate control environment and reporting to management
12. Manage and prepare monthly accounting and reporting ensuring adherence to accounting policies, best practice and recommended industry accounting practice
13. Ensure continual improvement and enhancement of the accounting and reporting
14. Assist in the development of the business intelligence reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
15. Deliver weekly cash forecast to Treasury on receipts
16. Support Tax on preparation of PRT returns
17. Input to annual budget and plan process with the business and functions
18. Ensure good relationship with external stakeholders
19. Support company initiatives such as EMS as required
20. Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree qualified and with recognised accounting qualification ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
2. Very good experience of revenue and production accounting and reporting within upstream oil and gas industry is essential
3. UK North Sea experience required
4. Excellent accountant with proven track record
5. Strong analytical skills
6. Experience of Financial Systems
7. Strong MS Office skills
8. Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation
9. Focus on service delivery to business and functions
10. Flexible and responsive to stakeholder requirements and changing environment
11. Ability to deliver high quality work by deadlines and work effectively under time pressure
12. Ability to work on own initiative, proactively drive change, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
