Job Title: Nurture Teacher
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service, we are recruiting a Nurture Teacher to join our team.
About the role:
To work independently providing Preparation, Planning and Assessment (PPA) cover with a significant commitment to whole class teaching. To work collaboratively with class teachers to plan, teach and assess an innovative curriculum so all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, may achieve success in line with the school vision, ethos, and aims.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and teach well-structured lessons, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
2. Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
3. Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
4. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
5. Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
6. Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
7. Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests.
8. Lead the learning of a group of pupils who experience a range of needs and challenges (primarily social, emotional and behavioural).
9. Play a lead role in the development of the nurture group in accordance with nurture group principles.
10. Plan and deliver engaging and motivating experiences relevant to the nurture group principles.
11. Develop an appropriate, broad, balanced, relevant, differentiated and challenging curriculum for all pupils.
12. Provide support for a named group of children through a carefully structured timetable.
Qualifications Required: GCSE's grade C/4 and above in English and Maths.
