Estimator/Billing Manager - Renfrewshire
Our Client is a blue-chip Client based in Paisley & they are Recruiting an Estimator/Billing Manager for their Offices in Renfrewshire.

We are an extremely fast-paced 24/7 Multi-Trade contracting firm based in our hometown of Paisley (no remote working). We operate mostly in Social Housing and also in private domestic homes. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team reporting to the Business Systems Director.
As a 24/7 Reactive Repairs, Maintenance & Refurb company, we deliver more than 2,500 jobs each month, all on a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) ranging from small type repairs to larger works known as Voids. ALL works are pre-determined through an agreed SoR (Schedule of Rate) with each customer - with the exception of our private works estimated in a normal manner at the outset of enquiry.
The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the immediate review and subsequent immediate billing of our jobs that have been marked as completed. This role will mainly involve evaluating the cost at the end of each completed job, where you will quickly analyze the cost of the job, compare it to its SoR, and ensure all costs are fully covered within the agreed SoR - always ensuring we maintain cost profitability on every job.
For our private domestic jobs, you will issue quotations. These works include plumbing and heating, bathroom makeovers, kitchen makeovers, boilers, general plumbing, general electrical - and combinations of all. You are then responsible at the completed stage of each job to invoice that private customer.
The following reflects the main tasks associated with your role and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
1. Work with our amazing Job Management System simPRO. For every single task you undertake for the company, each stage and element must be recorded and managed within simPRO.
2. Understand how SoR work; a knowledge of SoR is hugely advantageous, such as the M3NHF (National Housing Federation) SoR or similar.
3. Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment for private domestic works and also use the SoR to estimate for social housing customers when requested.
4. Maintain and update simPRO diligently and effectively.
5. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
6. Exhibit excellent customer service, numeracy skills, and commercial awareness. You will attend regular customer meetings and present/discuss information or agree on costs to ensure job profitability is maintained.
7. Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Have a proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common objective.
9. Possess a good understanding of social housing and/or private domestic type works.
10. Decision Making and Problem Solving – Must demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and make accurate business decisions.
11. Flexibility and Initiative – Must demonstrate a positive, flexible, and self-motivated attitude towards the company and the achievement of objectives.
12. Work Completion – Must display the drive and determination to complete your work effectively, accurately, and on time.
The Estimator/Billing Manager will play a crucial role in the delivery of our company profitability that is determined by your speed but absolute accuracy of the weekly billing. A weekly sales target is in place.
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the current team of engineers, supervisors, and managers.
