Overview of team: We are seeking a driven Junior Credit Analyst to join the Second Line of Defence (2LOD) Credit Analysis function to play a crucial role in assessing and mitigating credit risk within our organization. You will work closely with the credit risk team to assess, monitor and maintain the credit risk appetite of its client base and firm risk. Scope of role: You will leverage your expertise in financial services and crypto to protect and support new and existing business and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative credit risk assessments of new and existing clients, exchanges and trade service providers, including ad hoc and periodic due diligence and financial analysis. Day to day assistance monitoring of credit risk limits and collateral management processes, including valuation, margin calls, and liquidation Assistance and input in the periodic review and update of the existing crypto adapted S&P credit model Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure effective risk mitigation measures are in place. Review and input in transactional legal documentation Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on risk management activities for internal stakekolders. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the company and the overall business objectives of B2C2 Mandatory Skills: 2-5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in a hedge fund, banking or investment banking environment. Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, including credit rating methodologies, credit risk models, and risk mitigation techniques. Will suit candidates who can work independently and are motivated to learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with an ability to roll up their sleeves and are interested in learning to cover full risk management spectrum Sound academic track record to at least first university degree level, preferably in finance, economics, statistics or accounting Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Sheets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills: Knowledge of coding languages (Python) would be an advantage Experience in or interest in cryptoasset industry and the evolving crypto credit landscape
