Project Manager (Electrical) - Midlands Coverage
Electrical Project Manager - Utilities - Hybrid working, coverage across the Midlands.
Previous Experience Required:
* Utilities Site Supervisor or Site Manager on an electrical contract.
* Managing short-term civils projects and supervising civil teams.
* Reading & understanding utility plans and construction drawings.
Package:
* £60,000 - £75,000 DOE
* Vehicle & Fuel Card
* 25 Days Holiday
* 1/2 Days in the office
Summary:
Our client, established for over 40 years, is looking to add to the project management team. As framework partners with several major utilities, including South Staffordshire Water, they are committed to maintaining and developing solid client relationships. They focus on quality staff and ongoing training to ensure delivery of quality projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinate, manage, and plan contractors/direct labour and operative resources on the project.
2. Liaise daily with the Operations Director, NGED Contracts manager, personnel, and other stakeholders.
3. Handle customer complaints as per contract requirements and company procedures.
4. Plan, manage, and co-ordinate safety and site manager audits.
5. Ensure all jobs and RAMs are updated on the client and company systems.
6. Manage the reinstatement process effectively for jobs under their responsibility.
7. Assess upcoming works to establish if traffic management is required.
8. Ensure supervisors brief civil teams on tasks and hazards before mobilization to site.
9. Collate and approve weekly timesheets from the civil team.
10. Collate all vehicle and plant paperwork for the team.
11. Attend to site for discovery of latent or utility damage.
12. Conduct final walk-off on all works over 100m to assess for defects.
13. Order any specialist materials required for works in a timely manner.
Technical Skills & Experience:
* Experience managing short-term civils projects and supervising civil teams.
* Previous experience as Utilities Site Supervisor or Site Manager on an electrical contract.
* NRSWA street works qualification - preferably at supervisory level and SMSTS certification.
* General civil engineering knowledge.
* Ability to read and understand utility plans and construction drawings.
* Experience dealing directly with clients.
* Awareness of client and customer expectations.
* Full understanding of NRSWA compliance for highway works.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
