The role is to undertake all fire safety management duties, manage the FRA remedial works programme, act as the lead for property fires, liaise with the local Fire Authority, and work with the Building Safety Manager in managing over 10,000 properties, including high-rise accommodation.

Description
1. Ensure the effective delivery of all fire safety works are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction and to a standard of legal compliance.
2. Provide assurance to the Head of Design & Delivery, Executive Management team, and the relevant Corporate Board and the Housing Advisory Board on all fire safety compliance matters.
3. Support and advise on procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed.
4. Participate in tender valuation and contractor selection as required.
5. Provide ongoing advice on the competency of contractors to undertake works and ensure robust contract management of the selected contractors by monitoring quality of work to determine compliance with fire safety legislation and guidance.
6. Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to health and safety standards.
7. Manage the budget and resources of the FRA project.
8. Provide technical advice on fire safety issues.
9. Develop and implement effective FRA strategies and policies.
10. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
11. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on FRA matters.
12. Foster a culture of fire safety awareness within the organisation.
Profile
A successful Interim FRA Manager should have:
1. A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
2. Substantial experience in managing Fire Safety projects in the public sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
4. Excellent leadership and management skills.
5. Strong budgeting and resource management abilities.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in risk assessment and project management tools.
