Office Angels are currently recruiting for a Senior PR Account Executive for our client based in Reading.
Role: Senior PR Account Executive
Location: Earley, Reading
Salary: £25, - £30, depending on experience
The Role:
PR
1. Display knowledge of sectors, competitors, audience and channels in front of clients
2. Be a problem solver through sector, audience and clients knowledge & awareness
3. Reach out to different media to understand what they are interested in and build a relationships
4. Maintain relationships with journalists and contacts
5. Flag new journalists/influencers and information
6. Pitch different approaches and angles to ensure campaign targets are met
7. Present new ideas, implementation plans and thinking to clients
8. Handle more difficult contacts with tact and confidence with little supervision
9. Build relationships with key distributors through contact and demonstration of competitor activity & trends
10. Maintain an established and trusted network of partners, understanding their capabilities, costs and benefits
11. Brief designers in a clear and succinct way
12. Manage the design process, including all amends to client sign-off
13. Manage photographic sign-offs being aware of all brand guidelines
14. Create and write features, opinion pieces, newsletters, website copy etc for a variety of audiences
15. Craft messages and complex responses to more complicated briefs
16. Stay current with Meta updates and ensure a good all-round knowledge of all advertising and boosting options
17. Suggest and create new campaigns on new platforms
18. Present reasoning and thinking behind a social media strategy
19. Draft simple social media strategies including objectives, audiences, content pillars
20. Run a creative brainstorm using different techniques to gain great results
21. Create new ideas and solutions and seek to enhance client programmes with new activities
Business Development
22. Write proposals for smaller client projects including strategy, implementation, KPIs and budget
23. Create credentials for new business prospects
24. Suggest new marketing initiatives and campaigns to support the business
25. Able to identify and suggest organic opportunities for existing clients
26. Use sector knowledge to identify new potential clients and seeks opportunities to approach and connect
Account Management
27. Draft budgets and KPIs for client approval
28. Understand client financial processes including procurement and overall budgets
29. Keep budgets on track and within agreed parameters
30. Assist junior team members
31. Communicate upwards and downwards to keep clients plans on track
The ideal candidate:
32. Previous and demonstrable experience as a PR Account Manager role or similar position
33. Strong copywriting skills
34. Adept at taking client briefs and building PR plans
35. Ability to mentor and guide team executives
36. Display perseverance and the ability to be persuasive
37. Confident to consult, manage and give direction
38. Understand consumer audiences and behaviours on social platforms to be able to advise on the right platforms
39. Manage own time and workload efficiently and effectively
40. Display understanding of campaign strategy
