Job Description
Your Future Team:
Guided by our Senior Principal Systems Engineer, who will support you whilst our team of highly qualified Systems Engineers embark on an exciting new Defence Project, based in Scotland.
Join us as a Requirements Capture and MBSE Systems Engineer and be at the forefront of shaping cutting-edge systems!
Your role is pivotal in bringing complex systems to life, ensuring they align perfectly with stakeholders’ needs and requirements. You’ll be the architect of innovation, blending traditional systems engineering practices with state-of-the-art Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies. Here’s what you’ll be up to:
1. Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Extract, analyze, and prioritize requirements to ensure clarity and feasibility. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders.
2. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Craft and maintain system architecture models using cutting-edge MBSE tools.
3. Requirements Management: Maintain a robust system to track changes and ensure alignment between requirements, models, and design components.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication with internal SMEs, external suppliers, and stakeholders.
5. Verification and Validation: Contribute to verification and validation plans, ensuring system requirements are met.

My profile
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in systems engineering.
2. Proven experience in requirements capture, analysis, and management. Familiarity with industry-standard requirements tools like IBM DOORS.
3. Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
4. Experience with MBSE tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or Cameo Systems Modeler.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Familiarity with systems engineering standards and best practices.
7. Team player with leadership qualities. Leads on tasks and empowers others to lead as appropriate.
8. Sole UK National with Security Clearance or ability to gain clearance. Up to 3 days within the client office in central Glasgow.
