Job summary Birtley Medical Group is looking to recruit an experienced Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Specialist Nurse (Long Term Conditions) to join our large friendly practice in Gateshead. The post holder will work closely with our Clinical Pharmacists focusing on long term conditions and also providing clinical leadership to our large nursing team. 24- 30 hours per week, salary depending on experience Main duties of the job The Lead Nurse will be an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for patients presenting at the practice, to include clinical assessment, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing clinical leadership to the practice nursing team. They will ensure all competency and training requirements of the nursing team are met to ensure the safe delivery of care and play an active part in ensuring the readiness of the Practice for a CQC inspection. They will be supported by GP partners who will provide clinical supervisison. About us We are a large practice with approx 16,000 patients.
