Job Title: Assistant Locality Manager Starting Salary: £33,366 progressing to £36,124 Hours: 37.0 Location: Hertfordshire Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Adult Care Services Locations: Broxbourne: Broxbourne Day Service - 30 hours per week Hemel Hempstead - Dacorum Day Service - 37 hours per week About the team Day Services operate Monday - Friday, our teams provide bespoke support and enable people to access opportunities to take part in a range of activities focussed on people's own strengths, personal goals and choices, which can include but are not limited to activities such as gardening, arts and craft, swimming, daily living skills and community activities. Our aim is to promote wellbeing by supporting the development of new skills and experiences, maintaining current skills and valuing relationships. We follow Hertfordshire County Council's Connected Lives model of social care. Who we work with We support adults with physical/and or learning disabilities, older people and people with mental health conditions or dementia. Some of the people who use our service may require assistance to access advice, guidance, or emotional support. Some would like a structured routine, whilst others need physical support with a majority of tasks, others need Positive Behavioural Support to help them manage how they respond to daily events. You will need to provide this agreed level of support once you have received training. About the role You will work in our buildings and in local communities across Hertfordshire to: Support the Day Service Locality and Deputy Locality Manager in the responsibility for the quality of day services through effective management and monitoring of service delivery. Ensuring internal quality processes are in place and working effectively. Lead and support the team, delegate duties, act as Duty Manager as required i.e., respond to routine queries from the team, families / carers and professionals Provide day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff and individuals who attend the service. Promote a positive culture within the team, valuing diversity and ensuring staff demonstrate Hertfordshire County Council's Values and Behaviours Actively encourage and engage in co-production Provide formal staff supervision and support including contributing to the performance and development process Follow Hertfordshire County Council safeguarding policy and procedures to protect and safeguard everyone we work with About you Essential : Health and Social Care RQF Level 4 or the ability to meet requirement to complete RQF Level 4 (if not already held) A minimum of 1 year experience working in a social care or related setting (e.g., education or health) A good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT skills This job role is within the Health and Social Care Services, level HSC9 job profile.
