Our client, a leading contractor operating across the UK, Europe, and Ireland committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, is urgently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Associate HVAC Engineer. As Associate HVAC Engineer, you will support the design, installation, and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for major projects in various industries.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to incorporate HVAC requirements and assist in designing HVAC systems .
Oversee the execution of major projects, taking a leadership role in team management while directing the development, design, and coordination of engineering services for mechanical or electrical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities, majority of building types.
Evaluates progress updates from project personnel and external stakeholders, adjusting schedules or plans as necessary and prepares project reports for senior management, clients, or other relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure HVAC designs and existing mechanical/electrical installation align with project goals and timelines and help in assessing project progress including identifying potential issues.
Defines activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing comply with functional specifications and meet customer requirements.
Attend and contribute to team meetings, project discussions, and stakeholder briefings as required .
Make daily decisions regarding project progress and maintain direct communication with the client, offering guidance and advice as needed.
Assist in delivering projects in alignment with the Client Project Delivery Process, focusing on project management, financial oversight, quality assurance/quality control, and technical reviews.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
MCIBSE/MIEE, HND/HNC, Chartered Engineering status, and appropriate experience or equivalent is desirable.
Proficiency in German and, ideally, professional working proficiency in English.
Extensive experience in specification design across various building types.
Strong knowledge and practical application of key health and safety regulations and legislation.
Familiarity with contract and business law, with an ability to apply it effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Competence in using IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
Thorough understanding of BS standards, UK regulations, and relevant codes.
Experience in invoicing and credit control processes.
Proven ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong skills in chairing and facilitating meetings.
Background in consulting or construction is highly desirable.
Good understanding of international operations and the business practices of a global consultancy.
