Application Architect - Active SC Clearance
Job Title: Application Architect (Active SC Clearance)
Location: Warwick or Wokingham - 2 days/week onsite
Duration: 6 months+
Pay: 500 GBP/Day Inside IR35
Role Purpose: The purpose of the role is to create exceptional and detailed architectural application design and provide thought leadership, enabling delivery teams to provide exceptional client engagement and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop architectural applications for new deals/major change requests in existing deals:
* Create an enterprise-wide architecture that ensures systems are scalable, reliable, and manageable.
* Manage application assets and direct development efforts to improve solution delivery and agility.
* Guide the construction and assembly of application components and services to support solution architecture and application development.
* Maintain the frameworks and artifacts used in the implementation of an application, with reference to the systematic architecture of the overall application portfolio.
* Responsible for application architecture paradigms such as service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices, ensuring business agility and scalability for faster time to market.
* Provide solutions for RFPs received from clients and ensure overall design assurance.
* Develop a direction to manage the portfolio of to-be-solutions including systems, shared infrastructure services, and applications to better match business outcome objectives.
* Analyze technology environment, enterprise specifics, and client requirements to set a collaboration design framework/architecture.
* Create complete RFPs based on client needs with particular standards and technology stacks.
* Provide technical leadership to the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions through thoughtful use of modern technology.
* Define and understand current state solutions and identify improvements, options & tradeoffs to define target state solutions.
* Clearly articulate and sell architectural targets, recommendations, and reusable patterns, proposing investment roadmaps accordingly.
* Evaluate and recommend solutions to integrate with the overall technology ecosystem.
* Track industry and application trends and relate these to planning current and future IT needs.
1. Understanding application requirements and designing standardized applications:
* Create Intellectual Property in forms of services, patterns, models, and organizational approaches.
* Design patterns, best practices, and reusable applications for future references.
* Ensure system capabilities are consumed by system components and set criteria for evaluating technical and business value.
* Provide a platform to create standardized tools, maintaining uniform design and techniques to reduce maintenance costs.
* Coordinate input on risks, costs, and opportunities for concepts.
* Develop customized applications for customers aligned with their needs.
* Perform design and code reviews regularly, keeping security measures in mind.
* Understand design and production procedures and standards to create prototypes and finished products.
* Work closely with systems analysts, software developers, data managers, and other team members to ensure successful production of application software.
* Offer viable solutions for various systems and architectures to different types of businesses.
* Seamlessly integrate new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure.
* Transform all applications into digital form and implement mesh app and service architecture that supports new technologies like IoT, blockchain, machine learning, automation, and BOTS.
2. Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies in the market.
