Job Description As Head of PR & Internal Communications you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the PR & Communications function that supports both B2C and B2B operations across the Connells Group.You will lead both our internal and external PR and communications strategy and be the primary point of contact for media enquiries. You will drive activities that support and enhance the reputation of our brands, whilst managing any issues that might impact their reputations.With a focus on corporate and colleague communications, your knowledge, leadership and business acumen will complement and support that of your team, delivering a highly effective service to our business operations.You will understand the strategy and direction of the Groups various businesses, working closely with the Connells Group Executive, Operational Boards and working groups to provide input and drive relevant activities to support key business objectives.Connells Group are the largest and most successful property services company in the UK, with unrivalled understanding and insight into the UK’s housing market. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring that the PR & communications strategy fully aligns to our overall business strategy Undertaking activities to support the reputation of our brands, developing and managing our media relationships and supporting the business in times of crisis Producing press releases, corporate communications, developing campaigns and content that cultivates and sustains media relationships Working closely with our research team to secure opportunities to promote our in depth knowledge and understanding of the UK housing market Operate a highly effective media relations function and press office Management of corporate social media presence Planning and managing strategic calendar of proactive and reactive PR activity Contributing and playing an active role in our ESG, D&I and CSR activities and partnerships Build relationships across the business and different business areas, acting as a trusted advisor, and managing crisis communications Managing our key internal and external communications and the relevant supporting platforms Measuring and monitoring engagement and response across the teams activities Key Relationships: Connells Group Executive team and members of individual Operational Boards B2B account teams across the Group Group Marketing and Research teams Key trade and national media, journalists and industry contacts Strategic business partners Skills & Experience: Highly motivated with a passion to succeed. You will have 8-10 years experience in leading PR & Communications activities, building and managing high performing teams who can deliver multiple projects at any one time. With a proven track record in creating content, campaigns and services that align with business objectives you will have a thorough understanding of PR and media relations strategies, and experience of using multiple platforms / mediums to deliver integrated campaigns and measure results. Property industry experience would be beneficial, as would experience in working within a group with multiple trading brands across both B2B and B2C operations. With a desire to deliver meaningful and engaging internal and external communications, you will have excellent communication skills, with a commitment to quality and consistency to reinforce brand values.
