The successful Senior Creative Designer will work within the Publishing team in the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Amongst other core areas of work, the Senior Designer will develop the DVSA Digital brand, working closely with the Creative Design Lead, Corporate Communications, DVSA Digital and HR Recruitment.
The designer will produce effective creative assets on brief, within budget, and often to challenging deadlines. Using evidence and insight, and considering user needs they will produce graphics, photographs, video and other assets in line with the DVSA Digital brand. Their designs will help attract essential candidates for Digital roles within the DVSA Digital Capabilities Project.
The designer will develop an understanding of their colleagues in digital professions. And they will apply these insights to the assets they create to keep colleagues engaged with the digital brand. The role holder will help set direction, and embed good design practice within the DVSA Digital, Data, Technology and Security Capabilities Project Team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Using analytics, research evidence, insight and the right personas to make sure the information and advice people need is visible, engaging and helpful.
* Proficiently using Adobe Creative Suit, including but not limited to Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects.
* Producing mock-ups for approval, discussion and review.
* Providing and publishing final graphic elements to communications, often to challenging deadlines.
* Collaborating with communication colleagues, clients and stakeholders at all levels to meet the business objectives and requirements of every job.
* Leading and briefing others, like social media colleagues and suppliers, in producing consistently effective and accessible graphic communications.
* Working within the Creative Design and wider Publishing team to maintain the Communications and Digital professional standards and central government standards and development paths.
