Due to business expansion, we are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to be based at our brand new state of the art National Distribution Centre in Rotherham. In addition to managing and effectively resolving a large number of employee relations cases in compliance with company policies and procedures for a client group of c1000 employees within a geographical region, you will give daily support and management to a team of HR Advisors and Business Partners. This role will require exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Responsibilities: Oversee a high volume of employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution of issues while maintaining compliance with internal policies and applicable laws. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and other related issues; gather relevant documentation, interview involved parties, and assess credibility of information provided. Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relation matters, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution while maintaining positive employee relations. Create and implement appropriate action plans to address employee relations issues; recommend appropriate disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, or other corrective measures as needed. Draft, review, and maintain accurate and confidential employee relations documentation, including investigation reports, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary records. Work with line managers to ensure that absences are maintained within acceptable limits uilising the occupational health team where appropriate. Support the development of HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes. Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals. Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary. Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation. Support change management processes. Identify trends and working with the learning and development team, work on developing appropriate training. Manage the team of HR Advisors and Business Partners, supporting and developing their individual needs Translate HR strategy into meaningful actions / projects Act as deputy to the HR Director Due to the nature of the business, you may from time to time be required by Directors/Management to perform other duties (on a permanent/temporary basis), which fall reasonably within your capabilities. To be successful in this role: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a business partner role with a focus on employee relations CIPD level 5 (Level 7 desirable) Proven experience in handling high volume of employee relations cases with successful outcomes, preferably in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels of the organisation Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to independently assess situations and provide sound recommendations in line with our company policies Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
