Our Governing Body is looking to appoint an effective and efficient Office Manager to join the staff in our welcoming and effective school office. The successful candidate will supervise administrative staff, lead and oversee the administration, communication, and personnel systems within the school. The Office Manager will also support the Headteacher and Senior Leaders in their leadership roles.
We are looking for an Office Manager who can:
1. Work alongside Senior Leaders, Child & Family Support Worker, and SENDCo to ensure effective administration procedures and systems for pupil attendance.
2. Show a high standard of administrative and clerical knowledge and skills as well as computer and organisational skills.
3. Demonstrate experience of setting up and maintaining effective administrative systems within a school context.
4. Line manage administrative staff to ensure an effective and efficient support service.
5. Confidently maintain, track, and analyse electronic registers and promote the importance of regular school attendance.
6. Show an understanding of school-based systems (e.g., SIMs, Parentpay).
7. Use their initiative and work under pressure.
8. Maintain a calm, resilient approach within a busy school environment.
9. Communicate with pupils, colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.
10. Be an excellent team player and have the ability to work well in a busy school environment.
Typing qualification essential (RSA 2 or 3 preferred). Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel essential. Experience with SIMS is desirable (but training can be provided).
