We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as an SENDCo at both Westfield House School and Begdale School.
The successful candidate will:
1. Support with the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.
2. Complete Annual Reviews, Interim reviews and Emergency Reviews of EHCP’s in line with the SEND code of practice.
3. Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
4. Oversee the looked after pupils within the school.
5. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
6. Advise on the use of the school’s budget and other resources to meet pupils’ needs effectively, including staff development.
7. Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum.
8. Lead and manage staff and the effective deployment of staff and resources.
9. Lead on interventions that will support all pupils.
10. Quality assurance of Teaching and Learning with a focus on SEND provision.
11. Attend and review PEP meetings.
Our ideal candidate will have:
1. An accredited SENDCo qualification.
2. Hold QTS or QTL’s.
3. A passion for education and inclusion.
4. Leadership experience and qualities.
5. Readiness to develop their leadership skills within a school.
6. The ability to effectively manage the SEND provision in partnership with the Headteacher.
