As a SMART Repair Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technique) repair operations across all locations, focusing on efficient and cost-effective services. Set and monitor performance objectives to ensure productivity, revenue targets, and customer satisfaction goals are met in collaboration with Head of SMART Repair. Establish quality control standards and implement regular audits to maintain service excellence. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure repair equipment and materials are up-to-date and cost-efficient. Provide training and support to sites, ensuring consistent service delivery and addressing any performance or skill gaps within the team, fostering a high-performance culture. In collaboration with Head of SMART, oversee smart repair budgets and manage departmental revenue growth and cost control. Track and report on financial performance, including productivity, repair costs, and customer charges, to ensure profitability. Conduct regular reviews with suppliers and sites to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory requirements. Perform periodic assessments of stock and repair parts, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness across all locations. Lead, mentor, and support a team of SMART repair technicians, managers, and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback to enhance individual and team performance. Helpful skills and qualifications Don’t worry about ticking off every single skill here - if you care about delivering great experiences as much as we do, we want to hear from you Significant experience in automotive repair, particularly in SMART repair services with in-depth knowledge of SMART repair techniques, tools, and materials, including paint touch-ups, dent removal, alloy wheel refurbishments, and interior repairs. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, overseeing teams and operations. Familiarity with industry software and digital tools for repair management and customer service tracking. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate repair technicians and service teams to achieve high standards of quality and efficiency. Committed to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction through tailored repair solutions and effective communication. Expertise in overseeing workshop operations, ensuring adherence to timelines, and maintaining quality control standards. Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions to optimise workflow and reduce costs. Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, forecast costs, and allocate resources effectively.
