Farnborough College of Technology’s proud history goes right back to the beginning of the last century and the days of the Royal Aircraft Factory. It is now providing courses from Level 1 to Post Graduate Level.
To assist them in continuing the high standard and inclusive environment, they are looking for a temporary GCSE English and Functional Skills Teacher to cover for long-term sickness, which could lead to a permanent position.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated English Teacher who possesses innovative approaches to teaching and learning and can engage with FE students (16 – 18 year olds) to ensure they reach their full potential in GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
Being able to deliver an evening class would be advantageous, coupled with prior knowledge of the current specifications from AQA.
A specialist who is passionate about the subject and a team player.
Ideally, applicants will have taught at this level previously and hold at least a relevant degree or teaching qualification.
A driving licence is essential as you may need to provide cover at the Aldershot College.
This is to cover for long-term sickness and may go on for longer.
Due to the nature of the role, an Enhanced DBS will need to be undertaken.
In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with both FE and HE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
