We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Pre-School Manager to lead our 30-strong pre-school and holiday club team and continue to provide exceptional care and education. The Hollies is located in the grounds of Lower Park Primary school in Poynton and has a strong team of pre-school practitioners, who provide full pre-school, breakfast and afterschool club services, along with a holiday club for children aged 2-11. About the Role: As the Pre-School Manager, you will be at the heart of our setting, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for all children. You will lead a team of passionate early years practitioners, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pre-school, fostering a positive and collaborative environment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This is a full-time (Monday – Friday) permanent role on a 52-week all year-round contract. What we’re looking for: This role is perfect for an experienced people manager, who has either been a Pre-School Manager or a Deputy Manager, and who is passionate about providing excellent Early Years education for young children. You’ll be an ideal candidate for this role if you have a minimum of Level 3 Childcare qualification, proven senior leadership experience within an Early Years setting and extensive knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted practices. You’ll be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You’ll have excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to recruit, engage, motivate and develop the team as well as a passion for working with children. You’ll be comfortable working with figures and have experience of working with online finance systems, such as QuickBooks (or similar), so you can review the pre-school’s finances and provide the relevant information to the Management Committee, to enable them to make decisions around fees etc. With outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll have a proactive, hands-on approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the children and families we work with.
