Senior Accountant (German Speaking) | Full time and Permanent | London (Hybrid) | Salary up to £85,000\n\nAshley Kate are thrilled to be working with a client of ours who operate in the construction/manufacturing sector. Based at the London office you will be supporting the management of the group accounting centre, where also various other group accounting functions (AP, AR, FA, VAT, sales entity accounting) are located. Beyond a strong acumen in accounting (IFRS or US GAAP or similar), the position holder drives the improvement of the groups accounting process through their strong affinity for digitalisation and lean administration.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPreparation of the financial accounts and closing in SAP (R/3, S/4)\n\nCoordination with the local Managing Director and team where necessary\n\nCoordination with the Accounting Services team co-located responsible for AP, AR, FA and VAT\n\nPreparation of the group financial reporting package in IDL incl.
relevant notes as per the group accounting manual (IFRS similar)\n\nLease accounting (IFRS16)\n\nContinuous review of the legal entities accounts, ensuring that the group accounting manual is correctly and consistently applied\n\nContact for the local and group auditors\n\nPreparation of analysis and reviews for the management\n\nIntercompany recharges and the correct posting of consolidation relevant entries\n\nSupport and act as backup for the Sr. Manager Group Reporting & Consolidation in preparing the entire consolidated group financials package\n\nOversee and support other general ledger accountants.\n\nAbout you:\n\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in accounting as an accountant, applying different accounting standards in parallel\n\nACCA/CIMA Qualified\n\nInternational accounting experience and group level consolidation (advantageous)\n\nExtensive experience in SAP FI, SAP CO, as well as good understanding of SAP SD and SAP MM\n\nGood experience working with IT, MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)\n\nLanguages: English (full fluency), German (highly desirable)\n\nVery strong skills regarding managing processes, data analytics, communication and change management\n\nReliable, structured and efficient\n\nIt is essential that you meet the requirements of the role listed in the 'About you' section.
