Student Support Assistant.

Sir Harry Smith Community College is looking to appoint Student Support Assistants to join our forward thinking, dynamic school that provides high quality learning and teaching.
The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Head of House to create an effective and happy learning environment for the students in your care. Additional financial incentives are available for experience candidates. You will also have responsibility for a specialised area of student support and wellbeing across the college. The successful candidate will support students on issues including behaviour, engagement, progress and attendance. The ability to communicate positively with young people and work alongside senior leadership, staff and parents is imperative. This role requires an individual that is confident, organised and will enjoy working within a supportive and committed team dedicated to achieving the very best for the young people in our community.
The hours will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00 am. – 4.30 pm, Friday 8.00 – 4.00 during term time only. Salary commences at £20,369.58 - £21,552.58 per annum, equivalent to £24,294 - £25,979 full time.
