Psychology Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start A high-achieving secondary school in the vibrant borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join their successful Social Sciences department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5, depending on experience and expertise. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and exam specifications. Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and an understanding of psychological concepts and theories. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities. Utilizing a variety of teaching resources, including research studies, case studies, and psychological experiments, to enhance students' understanding of the subject. Collaborating with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education. The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in Psychology or a closely related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A strong understanding of the KS4 and/or KS5 Psychology curriculum. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for psychology. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
