Host/Hostess, Food & Beverage SHIFT PATTERN (40 hours, 5 days per week) We’re looking for a Host/Hostess to join our vibrant and dynamic Food & Beverage team. As a Host/Hostess at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for: Taking reservations and providing cover in the reservations department. Attending and hosting pre-service briefings for daily updates, ensuring tasks are followed up efficiently prior to guest’s arrival and completing any necessary research before profile guests arrive. To ensure that tables are appropriately cleared and re-set according to reservation plans. To follow up on any special requests related to reservations. To greet, escort and seat the guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. To maintain cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant entrance and its surrounding. To competently manage proper cloak room etiquette and guest check in/out. As a Host/Hostess, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning, evening, and night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
