We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management, supplier coordination, and ensuring project budgets align with business goals and site requirements. You will support projects from initial costing through to completion, playing a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Measurement & Costing: Accurately measure quantities, manage work packages, and record costs throughout project stages.
2. Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination: Negotiate rates with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
3. Project Preparation & Planning: Establish lead-in times and facilitate the seamless handover of project packages to site managers.
4. Site Inspections & Due Diligence: Conduct site assessments, complete due diligence on development sites, and attend site progress and technical meetings.
5. Health & Safety: Ensure subcontractors are appointed following strict health and safety standards.
6. Statutory & Utility Arrangements: Arrange necessary quotations and appointments for statutory and utility services to meet key project milestones.
7. Budget Management: Track and maintain project budgets, update “as-built” cost records, and generate cost forecast and valuation reports.
8. Site Appraisals: Conduct appraisals for potential development sites.

Requirements:
Essential:
1. Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
2. Valid driver’s license.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software; familiarity with AutoCAD.
4. Solid understanding of engineering, construction, and building regulations.
Desirable:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field
