Dorset Health Care's Tissue Viability Service are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to be part of a forward-thinking Service. This role is pan-Dorset and will require travelling in your own vehicle visiting Patients in varying Healthcare Settings. The role is for 12 months fixed term or secondment for maternity leave cover.
This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Main Duties of the Job
To provide effective evidence based comprehensive specialist Tissue Viability advice for Dorset Health Care.
To actively contribute to the prevention of Pressure Ulcers and management of complex wounds across Dorset Health Care and additional partner organisations.
To deliver training formally and informally on all aspects of Tissue Viability to all staff groups on topics such as pressure ulcer prevention and management, Tissue Viability, and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy.
To support the Tissue Viability services in delivering evidenced based care.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Person Specification
Personal Qualities/Attributes
* Ability to work as part of a nursing team and to deliver evidenced based care.
* People management skills and demonstration of change management skills.
* Enthusiastic and motivated.
Knowledge, Skills and Training
* Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by post registration diploma level specialist training and/or short courses or demonstrable extensive experience in the relevant specialty.
* Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues.
* Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training.
Job Specific Experience
* Specialist knowledge of Tissue Viability standards and policies.
* Experience within a Tissue Viability Link Advisor role.
* Tissue Viability Link Nurse within current role.
* Understanding of the purpose and effectiveness of audit.
Business Travel
* Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business.
