Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to make a positive impact on the learning journey of our Year 3 pupils. We welcome both experienced teachers and ECTs who are enthusiastic about fostering a love of learning, promoting positive behavior, and creating a stimulating classroom environment.
As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum, assessing student progress, and ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 3 students in line with the national curriculum.
Develop and implement strategies for differentiation to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Establish clear learning objectives and assess students' progress, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters the development of independence and a love of learning.
Monitor and manage student behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Maintain regular communication with parents/carers regarding student progress and welfare.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
Participate in the school's extra-curricular activities, including school trips, clubs, and events.
Provide support for the social and emotional development of pupils.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and best teaching practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire children in learning.
Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Passion for teaching and the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in teaching Year 3 or a similar key stage.
Knowledge of assessment for learning and data tracking to monitor student progress.
Experience of working with children with varying learning needs, including SEND.
