Main duties of the job
To be responsible for effective and compassionate leadership of a team of staff across Worcestershire, supporting them to provide a high quality service and working dynamically, safely and compassionately, responding as required to fluctuating needs and risk. Ensure a culture of effective assessment, formulation and positive risk management. Support staff with complex cases and assume escalation responsibility as necessary. Respond to untoward incidents and complaints, providing feedback to the team to ensure lessons learned are shared and inform practice development. Lead internal meetings and chair meetings with external partners. Deputise for Locality Service Manager as required. Respond to demand and capacity to ensure that resources are used to maximum efficiency across the service. You will be supported by the senior and service leadership team.
Experience Essential
* Experience in undertaking research projects / clinical audits
* Significant recent clinical experience post-registration
* Previous experience providing a service to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary team
* Able to demonstrate evidence-based practice
* Leadership experience / experience managing a clinical team
* Experience of working with patients with severe and enduring mental illness
* Experience of partnership working / liaison in an inter-agency environment
Knowledge Essential
* Knowledge of current NHS and national priorities in relation to mental and emotional health and wellbeing of Children and Young People
* Knowledge of the wider influences which impact on service delivery the commissioning agenda
* A current professional qualification (RMN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist)
* Evidence of continuous and recent professional development and post qualification training / studies
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
