Salary: Up to £50,000
Hours: 37.5hrs - 08:30 am to 17:00 pm

Position Description:
The Vehicle Engineering team is looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer with expert reverse engineering capabilities. The individual will be responsible for maintaining existing products and developing new products in accordance with the strategic roadmap.
The role involves being hands-on as you continue to expand your potential and push the boundaries of the "art of decoding binary files". Responsibilities include:
1. Reverse engineering automotive binary files
2. Mapping vehicle tuning parameters
3. Working hands-on with off-the-shelf tools and data analytics
4. Providing technical inputs in project kick-off, reviews, and meetings
5. Identifying and implementing solutions to boost efficiency through automation
6. Working autonomously and guiding less experienced engineers in day-to-day work
7. Managing all necessary documentation in line with engineering protocol
8. Ability to travel to our head office in the USA a minimum of once a year
Skills Required:
1. 4 years of experience in software reverse engineering/embedded domain
2. Strong understanding of Assembly language - x86 / PPC / Tricore
3. Hands-on experience with IDA Pro or Ghidra
4. Solid programming skills in C/C++, C#, and Python
5. Good understanding of Visual Studio, TFS
6. Good understanding of CAN Bus and Diagnostics protocol - UDS / KWP2000
7. Familiarity with automotive programming tools
8. Knowledge of advances within automotive security
9. Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Passionate with good communication skills
11. Personable and approachable attitude
12. Resilience and tenacity required
Education:
Degree in Computer Science or Electronics
