About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional service to our clients while assisting with various optical tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will be invaluable as you support optometrists and ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care and customer service. Responsibilities:
8. Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment.
9. Conduct preliminary tests.
10. Maintain an organised and efficient environment, ensuring all equipment is clean and operational.
11. helping patients with their lens and eyewear choices
12. Prepare and dispense optical prescriptions, including lenses and frames.
13. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
14. Manage inventory of optical supplies, placing orders as necessary.
15. Handle patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
16. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient inquiries or concerns.
Requirements:
17. Previous experience in an optical setting or similar role is preferred but not essential.
18. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
19. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
20. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
21. Proficiency in using computer systems for record keeping and scheduling.
