FM Conway is recruiting for a Mobile Plant Fitter to join our Plant and Workshop division. As FM Conway’s Mobile Plant Fitter you will maintain our wide range of heavy plant and small tools which include Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers and JCB’s. This is a permanent, full time position where you will be required to work remotely around the South.
The duties of the Mobile Plant Fitter role will include:
- Completing paperwork following maintenance activities
- Working as part of a team or remotely
- Working safely in compliance with risk assessments and method statements
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
- Problem solving, identifying parts required and rectifying faults
- Maintaining our wide array of plant and small tools including our specialist surfacing equipment; Pavers and Planers
- Inspecting plant items to ensure that high standards are maintained for customers and that they are ready to re-hire
- Working closely with managers and supervisor to plan and execute the work schedule
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for a self-motivated Mobile Plant Fitter who has excellent knowledge of heavy plant including electrical systems and hydraulic systems. You will hold a City & Guilds 1,2 and 3 qualification or an equivalent NVQ in standard plant maintenance. We will provide you with specialist tools, but it is essential that you have your own tools. You must hold a full UK driving licence.
