The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly talented and inclusive SRE team to work on supporting and improving the Oodle Engineering Platform. You will be working within a team that evangelises immutable infrastructure, GitOps methodologies, leverage managed services where possible to minimise technical debt, aim to architect and create infrastructure at industry leading standards and security best practices and work with initiative to identify areas of improvement in managing infrastructure at scale using IaC (Terraform). What You'll Do: You will be working and innovating with the current technologies: AWS, GCP and Kubernetes Terraform Automation tooling such as Github Actions Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) Python and shell scripting Datadog You will be a point of contact for Oodle Engineering, supporting teams in their configuration and deployment requirements and collaborate with them during the planning process to ensure that their requirements are met whilst meeting our SRE standards. Oodle containerised services owned by the Oodle Engineering teams are Java, Python and NodeJS based. You will be expected to join other SRE members on an on-call rota for support out of hours for SRE owned infrastructure and platforms. Who you are: Cloud Providers and Services (AWS, GCP and/or Azure) Containerisation Writing and deploying IaC Building CI/CD pipelines Linux administration Writing automation scripts. (e.g. Python, Bash) Version Control (e.g. Git) Observability tooling You will have a strong ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, and to take ownership of projects in a rapidly growing and evolving environment. You will have a can-do attitude and have self-initiative to create and manage your Jira tickets as our issue tracking and ensure that any projects you complete are completed to a high standard with documentation and be willing to present and provide training to team members if they involve new tooling.
