You will provide a development and training service to professional social work staff primarily focusing on adult protection and outcomes based social work.
The main duties of the post include leading the development and implementation of staff education and training approaches around protection practice issues, service development and legislation.
It is essential that you have a professional social work qualification at Degree level or above, ideally a Degree in Social Work or a related discipline with a range of professional social work experience to draw on and have been involved in the creation and implementation of staff learning programmes. You will have worked in partnership with a range of agencies involved in the social work role and task, preferably around the staff development agenda. You must be a confident communicator and presenter with an ability to develop training materials, presentations and reports; manage time effectively; have effective organisational and IT skills and be a skilled team player who also has the ability to work and lead on their own.
A qualification in training and development at SCQF Level 9 or above would be desirable as would experience of working with Microsoft Office packages and evaluating training.
