Role: Supervisor in Assortments
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, alternate weeks A and B shift available
Location: Carlisle, 54 Church Street, Cumbria, CA2 5TG
What will this role achieve?
Reporting to the Team Managers, the successful candidate will provide supervision and support to a team of operators responsible for all areas of wrapping production.
The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team.
What will be your key deliverables?
* Take ownership and accountability of the Supply Chain Excellence initiatives including tiered meetings and updating the boards.
* Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.
* Ensure plant start-up and shut-down are properly planned and performed.
* Achieve planned output within specification.
* Maximise plant efficiency and minimise TOS and waste.
* Maximise labour utilisation.
* Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
* Develop line operatives in line with company best practice.
* Support the Team Leaders in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.
* Provide a strong and co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line.
* Training will be provided to learn how to feed the biscuits.

* Strong communication skills ensuring liaison with a wide range of site personnel and functions from Technical and Hygiene to Engineering and Human Resources.

What does the recruitment process consist of?
Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 45–60 minutes to complete.
Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
